Sheriff issues alert after Cedarburg man makes threats
PORT WASHINGTON - Ozaukee County Sheriff's deputies are investigating after a man allegedly called into a crisis hotline making threats.
Thursday night, the man called the hotline making comments "concerning recent mass shootings and school shootings," said the sheriff's office. "[Friday] morning investigators determined that the subject had made other recent similar calls over the last several days."
The sheriff's office issued an alert Friday morning and obtained an arrest warrant for the man. Local schools were notified and all chose their own levels of security.
Friday afternoon, a 39-year-old Cedarburg man was taken into custody.
