WATERFORD - Lots of rain has affected Southeastern Wisconsin roads throughout the latter part of this week.

People in Waterford were set to pay major attention to the Fox River, as they are under a state of emergency.

With heavy rain, the river's water level has started to rise, and it has flooded walkways and lawns.

That has had people who live along the river's edge running to pick up sand bags from the public works department.

They made about 4,000 sand bags to help people build walls to protect their homes and businesses.

Racine County also declared a state of emergency as part of their planning.

That would allow them access to state and federal resources.
