BOSTON - Tim McAuliff is a sophomore at Marquette University, and was running the 26.2 miles with one of his coaches from high school.

McAuliff had finished the race and was with his parents in a restaurant nearby.

"I was running in the marathon and I had finished about 20 minutes before it happened,” he said. “We felt the explosion, we saw people running, we saw ambulances everywhere. It was pretty bad.

"I hate saying this but I honestly thought it was terrorism,” McAuliff continued. "I guess its natural instinct to think something like that, the worst is going to happen, the worst just did happen, it's just scary. None of us know what's going on, we're all just helpless here."
