Airline subcontractor arrested for allegedly bringing knife and threatening employees at airport

MILWAUKEE - A man was arrested for allegedly threatening employees at Mitchell International Airport Sunday morning, April 7.

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called to the airport for a report of a man who was "armed with a knife and threatening employees."

The man, Pedro Desir, 61 of Milwaukee, works for a company that is a subcontractor for an airline.

"[Desir] had gotten into an argument with coworkers, entered an office in the baggage area, and returned waving a knife at them," said the sheriff's office.

Deputies located a butcher knife behind a computer keyboard.

Desir has been charged with Disorderly Conduct, Use of a Dangerous Weapon.
