BROWNSVILLE - Two men have been struck by lightning near the Fond du Lac/Dodge County line.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department reported the two men were struck by lightning at 1:39 p.m., while working on Lomira Dr., in Brownsville.

Medics rushed one of the victims, a man from Dodge County, to Froedtert.

He was conscious at the time, but there has not yet been any update on his condition. He and another man are alive after meeting Mother Nature head on.

"All of a sudden, there was just intense lightning,” said David Kindschuh, who lives nearby. “Almost contstant lightning for almost half an hour."

Kindschuh ducked for cover, but workers at a quarry in Brownsville weren't so lucky. Two workers were hit by a lightning strike. One of them, who was inside machinery during the strike, was okay. Medics scrambled to get the other man to Froedtert Hospital, and work was halted at the quarry.
