MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Police were taking Tuesday to investigate what a neighbor claims is a murder-suicide.

The neighbor found a mother and her boyfriend shot dead on the south side Monday morning.

A memorial has grown at their home on the 4300 block of South 5th Street, with candles and flowers on the step of the home where the shooting happened.

Police said the neighbor discovered the woman shot inside a van and a man shot in the driveway.

Friends identified the woman as Annemarie Bautch.

They say she was in an on-and-off again relationship with Daniel Billings.

In July, Billings was charged and pled guilty to batter and disorderly conduct.

Billings had a current girlfriend who is pregnant with their second child.

She and friends of Bautch were at a loss for words.

"He was a very good person, I don't understand," said Marquita Boston, Billings' girlfriend.

"I'm hurt, my heart is hurt. This happened because of a domestic violence relationship that's been on and off," said Lisa Davenport, a co-worker of Bautch's.

TODAY'S TMJ4's Nick Montes reports that Bautch leaves behind two children.

Nick Montes, Kirsten Skurka and Jay Sorgi contributed to this report.
