Gov. Walker appoints new Dodge County sheriff
MADISON - Dodge County has a new sheriff after Sheriff Nehls announced his retirement in February. Governor Walker appointed Lieutenant Patricia Ninmann to serve as Sheriff of Dodge County.
“Lt. Ninmann’s dedication to protecting the citizens of Dodge County is clear and I am confident her background will provide the residents of Dodge County with a responsible Sheriff,” said Gov. Walker. “With this appointment, Dodge County will have a Sheriff with a lengthy law enforcement history as well as a commitment to community service.”
Ninmann has been in law enforecment for twenty years, in Beaver Dam and Dodge County. In February 2012, Patricia was promoted to Lieutenant with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department.
“Lt. Ninmann has a good understanding of the budget process and would be a good steward of the County by making sure the needs of the department are being met,” said Chief of Police David D. Beal.
“It is an honor and privilege to have been chosen to lead the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department as their next Sheriff,” said Lt. Ninmann. “I look forward to continuing to serve the citizens of Dodge County, working together with the employees and moving the department forward. I would like to thank everyone for their support and Governor Walker for providing me with this opportunity.”
