Woman calls police after plea for help through "Words With Friends"
MUKWANAGO - A woman in California helped a woman from Mukwonago escape a domestic situation because of an online game.
According to Steve Garrison with Living Lake Country, the woman had received a message over "Words with Friends" from the woman in Wisconsin saying she was in trouble, and gave her her address.
The woman from California then called police, who arrived at the Mukwonago home.
"Several Mukwonago police officers arrived on the scene and found the woman talking to her estranged husband through the patio door," according to Garrison. "The man was lying on his back with no shirt on and his pants pulled down around his ankles, according to the complaint."
The woman said the man was threatening her, saying “We’ll both die today” and “I will kill you today if I’m not sleeping here, I will kill you today,” according to the criminal complaint.
The woman then sent the message through the online game asking for help.
The man is due in court April 15.
