Man goes to great lengths to show his love for the Brewers
MILWAUKEE - Monday's Opening Day attendance was the fifth largest in Miller Park history, with 45,783 people packed into the park. Fans go to great lengths to great lengths to look the part at any Brewers game.
It's hard to stand out in Brewers gear in this crowd of blue and gold. Jerseys, hats and accessories galore. But one fan turned quite a few heads in the Miller Park concourse.
Brewers fan Chris Vail altered his facial hair for opening day.
"I grew it just for the special occasion of opening day," Vail said.
Vail’s hair was a tribute to legendary Brewer Rollie Fingers' signature handlebar moustache.
"To start the season you've got enjoy every minute of it,” Vail said.
“Last year we went to 47 games, so we're diehard brewers fans."
"Everybody keeps saying, 'Nice moustache Rollie," said Stefanie Povolo, a fellow Brewers fan.
So what's it like to be the girlfriend of a super fan like Vail?
"I just laugh because I think it's funny,” Pavolo said. “I know he likes it and he enjoys everybody saying stuff to him."
