Miller Park to unveil new features during Brewers exhibition games
MILWAUKEE - If you're headed to Miller Park Friday, Saturday or Monday for Opening Day, you can expect some new, fun features.
The Miller Lite Party Zone is one of several new additions to Miller Park, and offers a great view out in right field.
Baseball brings fans to Miller Park, but Brewers officials say fun features help entertain.
Teddy Warner is director of business operations. He says that fan experience is best satisfied with activities like a 25-foot rock wall in the Dew Deck.
"The individuals that have tickets to the dew deck will have access to the rock wall,” he said. “It will be open for 3 hours."
This is the first rock wall of its kind at any pro sports venue.
"We've already had one other, not a baseball team, but another professional sports team that's already called us to find out about the details details about the rock wall because they plan to put one in their facility," Warner added.
Also new this year is the Klement's Winners Circle, where the sausages will go after the race.
"Fans will now be able to take photos and get autographs with the sausages after the race," he said.
And overlooking right field is the 70-seat Miller Lite party deck.
"Coming to a sporting event is more than just the action on the field, it's really an entertainment destination," said Warner.
You can see all of this for yourself starting Friday with the Brewers first exhibition game
The roof at Miller Park was opened Thursday so the grass can get some sun before opening day. This is the first time the roof has been open at all since Dec. 15, 2013.
Tickets are still available to Friday and Saturday's exhibition games. They are $10 a piece.
