Man Found Dead in Waukesha County Flood Had Heart AttackWAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) -- Waukesha County authorities say the man found dead in floodwaters over the weekend died of a heart attack. Waukesha County Sheriff's Capt. Karen Ruff says 68-year-old Robert Schaf was found floating on a flooded road in the Town of Summit in Waukesha County on Saturday. She says he left the Hog Alley bar just before midnight Friday, tried to drive on the flooded road and got stuck. And then he tried to walk to safety. And then that's when he died of a heart attack. Another man also died during the flooding. Juneau County authorities say 43-year-old Gregory A. Hachtel of Friendship drove his motorcycle around signs warning the road ahead in Lemonweir Township was closed due to flooding. Hachtel hit a washout and lost control. ------ Information from: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, http://www.jsonline.com (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
