2-year-old accidentally shot while watching TV home from hospital
MILWAUKEE - In the last month, little Randal has been poked, prodded and had a number of surgeries.
"It was surreal, it was hard to come to grips with"
Randal Farmer II recounts the night he got a call - his 2-year-old son had been shot, hit by a stray bullet while watching cartoons.
"It was a sound like the TV had exploded, it just made me get up and go check on him."
Mom, Keshalya Strong, rushed in to find her baby on the ground whining.
"I noticed he was laying on the floor and his shirt was bleeding."
It was once she got to the ER that reality set in.
"They said he had 4 holes in his intestines, his pancreas shocked, both of his kidneys hit, spleen and spine."
Those injuries have left this spunky 2-year-old to rely on a feeding tube and wear a back brace .
"He has to learn how to eat, walk, talk - all the basic functions all over again. He is two, he wants to get up, run, jump, play - he doesn't understand why he can't."
The family had just moved into the house, before this shooting. Police believe the gunman was targeting someone who lived there before.
"They were at the right house aiming at the wrong people."
