KENOSHA -- Plans by two companies to expand operations in southeastern Wisconsin could bring more than 800 jobs to the area.

The packaging materials company Uline says it will relocate its Midwest distribution center and 475 jobs from Waukegan, Ill., to Kenosha. The company plans to buy 200 acres and build a 1 million-square-foot distribution center, which it expects will be operational by 2016.

The Kenosha News says just last month, Uline announced plans to double the size of its headquarters in nearby Pleasant Prairie.

Meanwhile, Briggs & Stratton Corp., says it will add 220 full-time jobs and 150 seasonal positions at its suburban Milwaukee plant after closing a factory in McDonough, Georgia. Briggs plans to move production of riding lawn mowers, pressure washers and snow blowers to Wauwatosa (wah-wah-TOH'-sah) in 2015.
