GREENDALE - Meeting the mall's Easter Bunny can be a big challenge for families with special needs children.
For some parents, getting a simple snapshot is no easy task.
Two-year-old Lilly is autistic and has trouble in crowds. She was obviously nervous about approaching the Easter Bunny.
"When there's noise and stuff going on, she doesn't do well," mom Vicki Pletka says. "She usually screams."
Before Boston Store and other shops opened Sunday, Southridge Mall officials brought their costumed character out just for those with special needs.
As for Lilly, she finally made it.
"Get an opportunity to take a picture with her," Pletka says.
