Airport cuts lead to long lines for Spring Break'ers
MILWAUKEE - Officials with the Transportation Security Administration are warning air travelers to arrive early, and it's not necessarily because of Spring Break.
They say federal spending cuts could cause long lines all around the country.
Greg Egner of Ft. Lauderdale has racked up millions of air miles. He's on the road 46 weeks a year, and the thought of fewer TSA workers, because of budget cuts, makes him angry.
"If they're gonna keep making cuts and getting rid of people, lines are going to get longer," said Egner.
TSA officials say the so-called sequester cuts have triggered a hiring freeze. Overtime is also on the chopping block. Less people means one thing to travelers, lines!
