HUDSON, Wis. - It took hours before anyone found a golf course employee Friday after he was knocked unconscious when a 55-gallon drum exploded.

Police in western Wisconsin found 35 year old Chad Wang of Spring Valley, Minnesota, lying in a pool of blood at the Hudson Golf Course.

Wang suffered severe head injuries when using an acetylene torch to open a sealed drum, which had a small volume of oil inside. An explosion apparently caused the lid to shoot upward and hit him in the head.

There is no word on Wang's condition.
