GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers want to strike deals with both their current Super Bowl-winning quarterback and his predecssor.

The Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein reports that Green Bay wants to have a long-term contract signed by Aaron Rodgers by the end of the year.

He also reports the Packers want to get a deal done with Brett Favre to have his number retired.

In the meantime, Favre may not have made the friendliest move in the perspective of Packers fans when he reportedly assisted Greg Jennings along the path from the Green Bay Packers to the Minnesota Vikings.
