Daycare worker to spend 24 years in prison for sexual assault
ALTOONA, Wis. - Saying we will look after our children in Eau Clair County, an Eau Claire judge has imposed a 24 year prison sentence on a former day care worker for sexually assaulting the children in his care.
Judge Michael Schumacher says the parents of these children trusted 26 year old Thomas West of Eau Claire and the betrayal of that trust was selfish.
West was convicted of having sexual contact with six children at the Altoona Family Child Care Center.
