MADISON, Wis. - Convicted serial killer Walter Ellis will continue to spend the rest of his life in prison, after losing his latest appeal.

The Wisconsin State Supreme Court has declined to take the case.

The 52 year old Ellis admitted to killing seven women over a 21 year period in Milwaukee.

Ellis' defense attorney Richard Hart has argued in part, that his client only accepted the plea deal because he thought all the pretrial publicity would make it impossible for him to get a fair trial in Milwaukee county, and that a judge should have granted a change in venue.
