Obama In Kaukauna

KAUKAUNA, Wis. (AP) -- Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is hitting the campaign trail in Wisconsin today in his bid for the White House.

The Illinois senator was a big winner over Hillary Clinton in the state primary and now he's opening his campaign in Wisconsin against Republican John McCain.

Obama is holding a town hall meeting in Kaukauna where he's expected to push his economic plan to help struggling people like those hard-hit by a downturn in Wisconsin's paper industry.

Wisconsin has gone Democratic in the past five presidential elections, although the margins have been 11,000 votes or less the last two times.

The state is expected to get plenty of attention from the candidates as the campaign goes on.
