AAA: Big spike in flat tire calls in Wisconsin
MILWAUKEE - AAA in Wisconsin says it has seen a 36 percent spike in flat tire calls in the first couple months of the year.
"Our automotive experts tell me that it's primarily due to the colder temperatures we've had this winter," AAA'S Pam Moen told Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Jon Byman.
That alone can lead to a flat.
Mix in potholes, and it compounds the problem.
Moen points out that when your tire is underinflated, there isn't as much room between the road and your rim.
"It's less able to absorb the road shocks, things like bumps and potholes," said Moen.
She tells us it's a good idea to check your tire pressure.
