Unprecedented freeway shutdowns came to Jefferson County in the wake of dangerous flooding.
The rising Rock River near Johnson Creek had come within five inches of the I-94 bridge that runs over it, and it forced authorities to shut down the westbound lanes of I-94 in Jefferson County. The westbound lanes of I-94 have now re-opened.
Officials brought in three dump trucks loaded with sand to try and make sure the bridge does not move should waters rise.
