MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Police Department say they have identified the victim of a homicide that happened on 5th Street around 6:30 p.m. on March 10.

Daniel Perez, 39, died at the scene.

According to Sergeant Mark Stanmeyer, the suspect, a 49-year-old Milwaukee man, was involved in an argument with the mother of his children. When the woman called Perez, the suspect allegedly shot and killed Perez outside of the home.

The suspect fled in his car but was arrested a short time later when he crashed into a parked car in the 1800 block of S. 13th Street.

The District Attorney is currently deciding on possible charges.
