'Obstacle course of accidents' block lanes of I-94
STURTEVANT - A series of crashes has snarled traffic on both sides of I-94 south of Milwaukee in what Newsradio 620 WTMJ Time Saver Traffic Reporter Andi Miller describes as an "obstacle course of accidents."
She says drivers had to maneuver through a "field of debris" on northbound I-94 at State Highway 11.
Two right lanes of that freeway were closed.
That crash happened at about 5:25 a.m. Tuesday.
A second crash at 5:50 a.m. led to the closure of the same two lanes in Mount Pleasant at Highway K. That crash scene was quickly cleared.
Two more crashes led to the closure of the left lane of southbound I-94 in Racine and Kenosha Counties.
The first happened north of State Highway 50 in Kenosha County at about 5:40 a.m.
Another crash happened at Highway 20 in Racine.
Andi reports that a box truck slid and struck a wall there.
There was no initial word on the cause of any of these crashes.
