MARYVALE, Ariz. - The Milwaukee Brewers were supposed to face a familiar ace in their spring training contest today, but injury has stopped that from happening.

Milwaukee was to goes up against former starting pitcher Zach Greinke, whom they traded away in 2012, when facing the Los Angeles Dodgers today.

However, SBNation reports he will miss the start so he can fly to Los Angeles and have a second examination on his injured right elbow.

Action for the Brewers and Dodgers begins at 2:55 p.m. on Newsradio 620 WTMJ with Bob Uecker and Joe Block on the call.

Ryan Braun and Jonathan Lucroy will not be there, as their American team has moved on to the next round of the World Baseball Classic following a win Sunday over four of their teammates from Canada.

John Axford, Taylor Green, Jim Henderson and Rene Tosoni are coming back to the Brewers camp after the elimination.  So are Yovani Gallardo and Marco Estrada after the U.S. knocked out Mexico.

A number of Brewers, however, are still in action in the WBC - for teams like Puerto Rico and the Netherlands.
