MARYVALE, Ariz. - The Milwaukee Brewers get a shot at their 5th win in their last six spring training games on Saturday, amidst lots of off-the-spring-training-field news for the team.

They'll take on the Cincinnati Reds at 1:55 p.m., with Bob Uecker and Joe Block calling the game on Newsradio 620 WTMJ.

Though they didn't get a win or a loss in Friday's spring training game (thanks to rain, it lasted too short to be called an official game), the Brewers still got a victory.

That came when they found out first baseman Corey Hart doesn't need crutches anymore, and he should be on pace to return to the Brewers lineup before June.

The Crew also found out that they may have another solid pitcher in Tyler Thornburg.  Matzek said he shined in Friday's truncated game.

So did Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo on Friday night.  Sadly for those who root for the USA, it was in a Mexico uniform and not for the Brewers.

Gallardo and his Mexican teammates controlled USA bats in a 5-2 triumph in the World Baseball Classic.

Team USA now has to win out in its two matchups this weekend with Italy and Canada - both with Brewers on their rosters - to get to the second round of the tournament.
