Escapee from the Milwaukee County mental health facility back in custody

MILWAUKEE - A woman has escaped from the Milwaukee County mental health facility, and the Milwaukee County Sheriff is looking for her and her boyfriend.

Charmain Evans-Brooks, 33, reportedly left the facility when her boyfriend, Gerald Gillie, 22, went to the facility saying he was checking himself in, and then held the door open for Evans-Brooks.

A taxi refused to take them, so they fled on food. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is conducting an investigation and search for the pair.

According to the sheriff's office, Evans-Brooks is a danger to herself. The sheriff asks for anyone who knows the wherabouts of the pair to call 414-278-4788.

Update 4:14 p.m. 3/6/13: Sheriff's detectives have found Charmain Evans-Brooks. The boyfriend who helped in her escape, Gerald Gillie, age 22, is still at large and wanted by the Sheriff's Office.
