Doucette to join Davis for tonight's Bucks-Clippers game on Newsradio 620 WTMJ
LOS ANGELES - A longtime voice of the Milwaukee Bucks will join Newsradio 620 WTMJ's current man at the mike for Bucks broadcasts when the team takes on the Los Angeles Clippers tonight.
Soon-to-be Basketball Hall of Famer Eddie Doucette will join Ted Davis on the call of the game, which can be heard at 9:10 p.m. on Newsradio 620 WTMJ.
Doucette will call play-by-play for the second and third quarters of the game Wednesday night, and will help Davis as an analyst during other portions of the game.
"It's humbling," Doucette told Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Gene Mueller during a recent "Wisconsin's Morning News" about the Curt Gowdy Award he'll receive later this year for his long NBA announcing career.
"That day in September is going to be a big day."
Doucette called many big days for the Bucks on Newsradio 620 WTMJ, including the team's first game in 1968 and the 1970-71 NBA Finals win over Baltimore - the franchise's only league title.
"We had a lot of fun back in those days."
