Chocolate marshmallow eggs recalled for possible Salmonella
Zachary Confections has issued a recall of their Zachary chocolate-marshmallow eggs because of a potential Salmonella contamination.
According to the FDA, Salmonella is "an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems."
The company has issued the recall because they found potential Salmonella in a sample taken during a routine test during post-production.
The product is packaged in white egg crates with purple, green and yellow lettering.
