HAVEN - Initial reports say a child and bus driver are unhurt after a school bus tipped on its side in Sheboygan County.

The crash happened at about 6:45 a.m. on Dairyland Driver and Highway FF in Haven, north of Sheboygan.

A Sheboygan Sheriff's lieutenant says that a woman was driving the bus when it went out of control, went off the road, into a ditch and tipped on its passenger side.

The driver and the child were able to escape out of the back door.

The lieutenant cited a number of roads in the county where black ice has built up on the roads.

He says the ice comes from snow which melted after the recent snowstorm, but froze during the night.
