Cardinal Dolan arrives in Rome as Pope Benedict makes his final public appearance
VATICAN CITY - Cardinal Timothy Dolan is in Rome, where the cardinals will pick a new pope.
Pope Benedict made his final appearance as pope on Wednesday, where 150,000 people greeted him in Saint Peter's Square.
The pope took a lap around the square in his pope-mobile to greet the faithful. Benedict officially steps down Thursday, as the first pope in 600 years to resign. He's 85 years old and said he doesn't have the strength to continue.
The Vatican hopes to have a new pope before Easter.
