Actor Cromwell faces fine after animal cruelty protest
MADISON, Wis. - Well known actor James Cromwell's dealing with some real-life drama, after being charged with a civil ordinance violation.
The Wisconsin State Journal reports that Cromwell and another animal rights activist allegedly disrupted a University of Wisconsin Board of Regents meeting earlier this month, protesting cruelty to cats used in research at that meeting.
The 73 year old actor Cromwell and 27 year old Jeremy Beckham of Salt Lake City face fines up to $1,000.
Cromwell is known for his film roles in "Babe," "The Green Mile" and "L.A. Confidential," among others.
