Victim in alleged Bob Ryan sexual assault speaks out about plea: 'I was just disgusted'
SHEBOYGAN - The woman involved in a sexual assault scandal involving Sheboygan Mayor Bob Ryan is speaking out.
The woman alleged that Ryan had grabbed her breasts while out on a drinking binge in July 2011. The event, as well as others, led to a recall election that Ryan eventually lost.
The former mayor pleaded guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct on Wednesday. The plea allowed Ryan to avoid time in jail.
The woman told WTMJ's John Mercure that despite reports, she wanted the case to go to trial so the public would know what Ryan did.
"This was not on my behalf, I was just disgusted," she said of the plea. "In the end it was not my decision."
