MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says a semi driver was driving on a suspended license this morning when he crashed.

Deputies cited the driver for Operating Without a Commercial Motor Vehicle License and Failure to Control a Vehicle.  The driver was slightly hurt in the crash.

"He will be taken into custody once he is released from Froedtert," Sheriff's Spokeswoman Fran McLaughlin said.

Crews spent most of the morning cleaning up after the semi rolled over on the ramp to go east to the south over the Hoan Bridge.  That bridge and the entrance to 795 east from Broadway was shut down through the morning commute.

The semi was carrying 40,000 pounds of paper.

The truck is owned by Triumph Transport of Milwaukee.
