By Jay Sorgi

Crews remain on the scene of a fire in Fort Atkinson that has made dozens of people homeless this morning.

It happened at a 32-unit apartment building on the 1500 block of Commonwealth Drive.

The fire reportedly started just after midnight and kept burning into the early morning hours of Thursday.

Parts of the roof collapsed on the building

About 50 firefighters from different parts of Jefferson County came in to assist in putting it out.

No one was hurt, but investigators continue to look into the cause.
