Vehicle strikes bicycle rider in Germantown
GERMANTOWN - Police say that a bicycle rider has gone to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa after a vehicle struck him.
The collision happened at about 4:50 a.m. on Freistadt Road, east of Maple Road.
According to police, the vehicle was going east on Freistadt when it hit the bicycle rider.
Officers found the man, 53, in the eastbound lanes. He had what authorities described as "head trauma."
Flight for Life flew him to Froedtert. As of 8:20 a.m. Friday, his condition was not known.
The driver of the vehicle was not hurt.
