Chrysler recalling more than 275,000 vehicles
DETROIT - Chrysler has announced they will be recalling 278,222 trucks and SUVs to fix rear axles. According to the company, the axles can lock up and cause the driver to lose control.
"The recall expands on an October recall of the 2009-2010 Dodge Ram 1500 and Dakota, in which pinion nuts could loosen and cause the axle to fail," according to msn.
During that recall, Chrysler said it received 195 consumer complaints. The new recall includes 2011-2012 models of Ram 1500 and Dakota pickups, and 2009 Dodge Durango and Chrysler Aspen SUVs.
Along with the October recall, over 322,000 vehicles have been affected. The company said they have receieved no reports of injuries.
