Man sentenced for underage sexual assault after meeting boy through 'flirting app'
HALES CORNER - Daniel Schmidt, the man arrested in June for engaging in a sexual act with a boy he met on a "flirting app" has been sentenced.
Schmidt was found in a Hales Corner Park engaging in a sex act with a 13-year-old boy he met on the Skout flirting app. At the time, prosecutors said that Schmidt, 21, had picked the boy up and taken him to the park.
According to court records, Schmidt has been sentenced to 72 months in prison. He will spend 30 of those months in "confinement" and 42 months with extended supervision.
He also must register as a sexual offender, have no contact with the victim or other children and is not allowed use of a computer or possesion of pornography, among many other restrictions.
