MILWAUKEE - Tuesday will have a little sunshine and temperatures will be seasonal in the Milwaukee area and much of Wisconsin. As high pressure works into the state and dips south the winds becomes more southerly and temperatures will start to get warmer.
High temperatures Tuesday will be right where they should be in the low-thirties in Milwaukee and jump into the upper-thirties tomorrow and Thursday.
After the almost one hundred inches of snow in the 2007-08 winter season, I still hear folks talk about how much snow we have been getting over the past few years. It always amazes me how one singular event, month or season can dictate a repetitive memory if that event had enough impact on your life. The truth is that three of the past four winter seasons in Milwaukee and five of the past ten have seen below normal snowfall which is 46.9 inches.
This winter season in Milwaukee is also following a below normal trend with only fifteen inches of seasonal snow through today which is eight inches below normal.
The month of January was especially down with only four and a half inches of monthly snowfall, but February has come back with ten inches, already above the normal of 9.8 inches. This month is the only so far with above normal snowfall this winter.
