Milwaukee park groper gets 18 months in jail
MILWAUKEE - A man who was arrested last fall for groping three women along Milwaukee paths was sentenced Friday to 18 months in jail.
Duane Fish, 41 of Milwaukee, was also ordered to stay away from the Oak Leaf Trail, Gordon Park, Lake Park and Lincoln Memorial Drive.
Fish was charged with three counts of fourth-degree assault, with each charge being a misdemeanor.
"Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Jeffrey Wagner hit Fish with the maximum sentence for each count, to be served consecutively, but then suspended the sentence for the third count in favor of two years of probation," said Bruce Vielmetti with the Journal Sentinel. "In addition to avoiding the popular jogging and walking areas, Fish must get a drug and alcohol abuse assessment and comply with any treatment."
He must also remain sober and will be on the sex offender registry for 15 years.
