Kimberly Schools Investigate Report of Teacher Hugging StudentKIMBERLY, Wis. (AP) -- A Kimberly elementary school teacher is on paid leave while the school district investigates a parent's report that the instructor hugged a student. The teacher has been employed by the Kimberly Area School District since 2003. The physical education instructor teaches at Woodland Elementary and Westside Elementary schools. The same teacher was disciplined last fall after he admitted kissing two female students on the cheek because they collected gym equipment in his class. The teacher was also disciplined this week for making comments to students that his supervisors found unacceptable. Assistant Superintendent Bob Mayfield says the teacher has been remorseful.
