BURLINGTON - More than 300 people are searching for a job because of the eight-alarm fire at a food plant in Burlington.

More than 80 fire departments of hundreds of firefighters from all over Southeastern Wisconsin and parts of Illinois were called to fight the fire.

On Wednesday, the Department of Workforce Development and Racine County were to begin sessions at Veterans Terrace so plant employees could begin to file for unemployment, discover available job services and learn about training for other jobs.

Employees say the need the help.

"I worked really hard trying to find a job then when I had one, now to lose it. It's really hard," said Tina Juarez.

A job fair has been set up for next Wednesday.
