Milwaukee beats San Francisco for Super Bowl audience

NEW ORLEANS - The ratings for the 2013 Super Bowl were up slightly, but the viewers who watched it comes as somewhat of a surprise.

According to Sunday night's ratings in all metered markets, the overall ratings went up around one percent from last year's game. Baltimore came in at number one for those watching the game. Almost 60 percent of those households with television sets in the hometown of the Ravens watched the game, with New Orleans behind them with just over 57 percent.

However, one city missing from the top 10 list was San Francisco. The city's 49ers were playing the Baltimore Ravens in the game.

Milwaukee also made the list, coming in at number nine. According to MediaBistro.com, 53.4 percent of households with TVs in the market were tuned into the game.

The rest of the top 10 was rounded out by Washington, DC, Norfolk, Dayton, Columbus, OH, Indianapolis, Richmond and Jacksonville.
