Fans willing to pay a high price to say goodbye to Donald Driver
MILWAUKEE - Sarah Woodruff will be celebrating her birthday as Donald Driver celebrates his career. She just couldn't get to Lambeau in time to snag a free seat for the final farewell, so she's willing to pay - a lot - to see Donald say 'so long'.
"I'm his biggest fan," she said. "I have been forever. And I'm sad to see him go."
Woodruff is a proud Packers Backer, but Donald is what really ‘drives’ her love of the green and gold. She wants, more than anything, to be at Driver's retirement party. But the mother of two just couldn't make it in time to get a ticket, so she got on Craigslist.
“I mean, I think they're really priceless, but obviously people are going to put a number on it," Woodruff said.
And some of those numbers are big. So big, Driver himself tweeted "It's sad that someone would charge people to buy tickets to my event when I gave them the tickets for free. Please! Don't anyone buy them!"
But that's a tough sell for Sarah, who just wants to see her favorite player and family man take his final bow.
"I hate to see him go, but he's a great man and I'd love to be there," she said. "So we'll see what happens."
