Child in stroller hit by car in West Allis
WEST ALLIS - A child in a stroller was reportedly hit by a car in West Allis on Wednesday.
According to West Allis Police, the child was hit Jan. 30 around 5:30 p.m. on the 6800 block of Greenfield Ave. The vehicle involved was headed northbound out of the parking lot of Pick-n-Save when they hit the child in the stroller crossing the road in the crosswalk.
The child was taken to Children's Hospital with what police call non-life threatening injuries. The adult pushing the stroller was treated on scene by medics. Their age was not released.
The driver of the vehicle was cited for failing to yield the right of way, but police said alcohol or speed were not factors in the crash.
