Up to 9 inches of snow reported in areas of Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE - Although Milwaukee and surrounding counties have been fairly lucky, other counties is Wisconsin are expected to see many more inches of snow.

"Winter storm and winter weather advisories remain in effect for much of Wisconsin as a storm system leaves a path from Grant County to Marinette County with 5-10 inches of snow possible," according to the Wisconsin Emergency Operations Center. "Snow and gusty winds area creating hazardous travel conditions."

According to the center, as of 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the unofficial snow totals are:

Madison – 6”
Berlin – 8”
Stevens Point – 7”
Green Bay – 7”
Merrill – 5”
LaCrosse – 5”
Mauston – 7”
Viroqua – 9”

There are wind chill advisories across the state, as well as potential of flooding and causing dangerous driving conditions.
