Snow continues to fall, single digit temps expected by Wednesday night

MILWAUKEE - The rain changed to snow around 8am and temperatures continue to drop, so the forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for 2-4" of snow around Milwaukee and Waukesha with lesser amounts to the south. 3-6" of snow will be common for Sheboygan, Fond du Lac and Dodge counties by Wednesday afternoon.

The continuous moderate snowfall begins to taper off by 2pm, and the rest of the afternoon will have scattered light snow showers that will taper off by 6pm and just have flurries through the evening. Meanwhile, temperatures continue to drop and winds increase. Lows tonight will be in the single digits with wind chills around -10.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy with flurries and highs in the teens, but brisk winds will keep wind chills below all day.

Thursday night will be bitterly cold with lows below zero and wind chills of -15 to -25 by Friday morning. Friday is sunny, but it will be cold with highs in the single digits and wind chills around -10.

Saturday morning will have lows near 0 again, bu then the warm up begins with highs near 20 and a few flurries and Sunday will be in the mid to upper 20s. Early next week will be back in the 30s.
