Three people killed in house fire

TOWN OF SIGEL, Wis. (AP) -- The Wood County coroner says three people have died in a house fire in the Town of Sigel.

Area fire departments were called to the house that was engulfed in flames about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Coroner Garry Kronstedt says the bodies of the victims have been taken to a funeral home in Wisconsin Rapids. Kronstedt says he doesn't yet know if the victims are male or female or their ages.

Firefighters from Vesper, Pittsville, Arpin, Rudolph, Grand Rapids, Nekoosa and Port Edwards responded to the house fire.
