Milwaukee deputies bust 26 for OWI over weekend
MILWAUKEE - Sheriff's deputies in Milwaukee County busted 26 drunk drivers over the weekend as part of the department's "Operation Drive Sober."
That list included three people arrested for their fifth OWI charges, two for their fourth instances, one for their third and two with their second arrests for drunk driving.
The sheriff's office says that two freeway crashes were connected to driving under the influence.
A police officer from Racine who is 40 years old was also busted for driving with a .16 blood alcohol level, double the legal limit.
