Drivers deal with harsh winter weather
MENOMONEE FALLS - If you're off the beaten path, you could be in trouble with this latest round of wintry weather in southeast Wisconsin.
Rural, winding roads require a little extra care Sunday afternoon with the combination weather. We've seen plows busy with clearing and salting both main and side streets.
Drivers are doing their part, too.
"They weren't bad," driver Jessica Jones says. "People were going pretty slow. I saw a cop almost spin out up there, though."
Jones was traveling on backroads from Sussex to Germantown.
Al Yenter is on his way back to Oshkosh on the freeway system.
"It's been pretty sluggish so far, about 45 miles an hour," Yenter says.
"Probably another hour and a half to get home."
